About Alysan Delaney-Childs

alysan-photo-for-about-us.jpgI was fortunate  to spend time and learn about radio broadcasting at Maine Public Broadcasting (MPBN) in Orono with Keith McKeen. Keith took the time and  the patience to deal with an eager learner who took forever to figure out editing an interview.

My television experience happened with the help of Dave Silverbrand and Barbara Quill of WGAN (now WGME) who taught me the importance of soundbites and how to pull a story together.

Brittany Wallman from the Sun-Sentinel showed me how to find stories in everyday life and to recognize deadlines.

And the Central Beach Alliance gave me the opportunity to test my promotion strategies and teach others "the how" of having their voices heard.

To learn online promotion, I worked with Ken McArthur of jvAlertlive.com (and many other sites) as an apprentice and then as a project manager during his launch of InfoProduct Blueprint.

Learning about promotion started at an early age.  My aunt Cissy showed me how to set up a lemonade stand. But her gift  was telling me how offering samples worked better than just saying “Lemonade for Sale” to construction workers on a hot summer day in Greenville SC.  Lemonade stands can be a valuable learning tool for business and life.

As a result of being a good listener and learning from my many mentors I've learned to successfully promote in a variety of media.  I thank all the mentors and people who helped me learn the value and techniques of promotion over time.

Today I’m working and showing others what I’ve learned through the years to promote themselves using Word of Mouse. Promotion and publicity is a process that takes time to build. But when the results start coming in you'll find your message is being heard by many not just a few.

Join me as I share how to promote yourself and your message online using Word of Mouse.
