Decide To Promote With Enthusiasm
Ever seen a young child exuberantly playing or learning to ride a bike? They somehow instinctively know it’s going to take some bumps, bruises and even a few tears to play and learn.
When do we as adults forget that starting out we weren’t skilled enough to play? To ride a bike? Or even learn to walk?
When faced with promoting ourselves through a blog we hesitate. We’re “not qualified to do it yet.” “Other people write better.” “Others are funnier, wittier…” “Others are…__________(you fill in the blank)”
I hear those statements frequently from people who have phenomenal information, products and services to share with prospects, readers and customers.
So many potential bloggers feel they need to be “professional.” Professional in most cases turns out to mean perfect. Much like children learning to ride a bike, there will be goofs, typos and just plain glitches. Technology is like that.
People want to do business with people they know, like and trust. Sharing your information and connecting with prospects through your blog is one way of making that connection. Will your blog be perfect all the time? Heck, no. But human beings aren’t either.
I’d like to share some thoughts from Mike Kemski. Experienced in life with all its bumps and more, Mike runs a self-development site called Banabu.
In one of his inspirational emails Mike said, “Simple but powerful. You are the ONLY one who decides if you're good enough or not! And that decision will absolutely change your life forever… no matter what you decide.”
“Along the way, all of the challenges that you come up against, are what teaches you the skills to be a master of yourself, not just a professional in your life.”
“Professionals chase success but… Success chases Masters!”
Have you made your decision?
