Spam Filter By Gmail

If you're like most people you're getting lots of spam emails in your email box. My frustration and that of my clients has been steadily increasing. One client was even suggesting (jokingly) shooting the spammers.
Each day you go to answer your emails only to find the email box clogged with junk. Wading through the emails means we have less time to respond to important client issues and orders.
Like others you've probably tried filters, programs, contact forms and other devices. I was working with a new client this week and thought there just had to be a better way of screening emails.
Upon careful search I found a temporary non-tech solution using gmail. I've seen other programming solutions, but you have to either have a PhD in programming or just willing to spend more time and money.
Gmail is part of the Google family of services. The account has no charges and has an immense amount of storage (7254 MB.) You sign up for a Gmail account and then either pick up your email at gmail or have it forwarded to your regular or Pop mail account. Here are the steps:
- Set up a Gmail address. Try for an account name that is not goofy or cutesy.
- Print out the page with your password and login name. Also use your personal email as a secondary email account. (If you ever forget, it's a nice backup reminder for you.)
- Sign into your new Gmail account.
Click on the Setting tab at right top of page. When the new screen opens, click on the Forwarding and POP/MAP tab. (Under Settings header it will be the 5th tab to the left) Follow the screenshots below and you'll be set up. It's another layer of protection against spam. It also can free up time for customer service, orders and the other things that make money.
It’s all about using Word of Mouse to promote your message,
